Millennials lead Australia’s organic shift
More than eight million Australian households buy organic grocery products every year with new research revealing millennials are leading the organic boom.
The Australian Organic 2018 market report, released Monday, found the total value of the nation’s organic market has reached $2.4 billion with more than six in 10 Australian households now buying organic products in any given year.
Australian Organic chair Andrew Monk says the market will continue to grow as people have greater access to information about where and how their food was produced, with millennials leading the change.
